Uncovering Covid 19 conspiracy theories.

 

I am sure we all still remember how confusingly terrifying it was when we heard there was a virus outbreak and as a county, we all had to go under a total national lockdown in a matter of days after a news report was released. As confusing as it was, we were also scared for our lives. Schools, companies and basically the whole country’s economy had to be shut down and every single person had to quarantine with the government’s goal of trying to find a solution to figure out what exactly this virus was and how we were going to control it. As time went by, people started questioning this virus and how it broke out. A lot of people had their own opinions and views on it and majority over minority were and still are convinced by their “opinions”. People always have something to say on everything that happens in the world but when it comes to the Corona Virus, they had a lot and those conspiracies have grew substance and made the ones who read about them to believe those conspiracies, mainly because there are a lot of stories behind this Covid 19 virus, although we were all told one about the in China. People believe there is a lot that the government is not telling us, and they brought it upon themselves to figure it out.

 

Bloggers, Youtubers, writers and the society have many conspiracies on the Corona Virus. Most of them are very creepy, some are funny and some raise eyebrows, sound true and a raise lot questions.  First and foremost, one conspiracy theory was that the 5G towers that were busy being installed in many communities exactly around the time the virus broke out, where the root of the virus, it believed that those towers were descending the virus on people and that’s why people die so quick like ants. Videos and social media chain messages were circulating about this 5G and how the government is trying to decrease the population through this virus using these 5G towers that were being installed. In some other countries like China, they even went to the extent of destroying those 5G towers and encouraging everyone else to the same. Another conspiracy theory was that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was somehow involved with this Virus. It id said that Bill Gates was or is involved with the aim of installing microchips that will make people be controlled. Very creepy conspiracy theories were circulating. Also, that the virus did not really come from an animal species, but it bioengineered in a laboratory with the mission to kill. Social media was very crazy especially at the beginning of the corona virus outbreak, the main trend was “Covid 19”. All the government did was report back what they saw was fit for us to know and kept quiet after. I really feel like they didn’t bother debating or trying to prove these theories wrong, all they did was keep these conspiracy theories under control to avoid more damage or unforeseen danger to the world.

 

 I am not agreeing neither am I disagreeing with any of these conspiracy theories. Although I feel like there is more to this Corona Virus outbreak than what we are told, I am hoping for the day it ends and the world goes back to normal because I’m sure I am not the only one who is really tired of it and wants everything to go back to what was.
